Network for Charity at the 3rd Annual Holiday Wives Soiree
Even though I worked for an NFL team for the better part of 10 years, I never dug deep into what players' wives, fiancees, and girlfriends were doing in their own businesses and foundations. Now that I've been contributing to WAGS Redefined for less than a month, I've actually come across more awesome initiatives by these ladies than I did throughout my entire career with the Detroit Lions.
Many stories are still in their infancy stages, but I've learned of women co-authoring books, owning retail shops, heading up charity initiatives, and selling real estate. It's empowering and important to WAGS Redefined's mission to know about these incredible women, but it's also important that these women know about each other.
That's where the 3rd Annual Holiday Wives Soiree hosted by The RoseMark Group -- a real estate firm specializing in athlete relocation -- comes in. The event will take place Wednesday, December 9, at Totokaelo, a Seattle-based boutique that recently opened up shop in Soho. Wives from the NFL, NBA, NHL, and MLB will come together for cocktails and conversation that will include networking and philanthropy.
The boutique specializes in brands such as Comme des Garcon, Henrik Vibskov, Issey Miyake, Maison Margiela, Marni, Rick Owens, and Y-3.
In addition to networking, the event will provide business attire to 10 women from the 158th Street Polo Grounds Community Center in Harlem who are joining or re-entering the workforce. Attendees will collaborate to give two full outfits: dresses, pant suits, blouses, jewelry, shoes, outerwear, and handbags.
Women interested in attending the event should contact Keisha Sullivan or Jaclyn Rosenberg from The RoseMark Group.
